I encountered a few things as I was getting the neighborhood stuff ready. So, I thought I’d share them with, of course, my comments. 😄
As you know, I had Lollie show Gerald around. I put her in Gerald’s house, but I hadn’t really thought about how it would effect things. I soon found out.
I was taking pictures when I noticed another tan jacket. Ooops…I hope this doesn’t cause a time rift in the game. 😏
Lollie: Hmmmm, she looks familiar.
In the evening of the first day, Gerald and Lollie went to one of the nightclubs. (In other words, I didn’t have any more daylight and needed them to do other things until it was light enough again.) Lollie got down and boogied with Monica Gellar and Lillian McGee.
Then, all Gerald wanted was a drink. However, he walked away with more than that. Sam Dernier, the bartender, was behind the bar and they’d never met. As he walked up, she threw some rose petals at him. At least that’s what it looked like. She also looked like she was casting some kind of spell. The results were Gerald becoming flirty. I tried to keep him away from Sam after that. She must have liked his hat or perhaps his beard.
So, I went to Sam and her husband’s household. She has lots of traits, reward traits, and most of her skills are to level 10. Wow, real life Sam has been quite busy playing Sim Sam. Beguiling is a reward trait that she “bought”. So, now, Sim Sam and Gerald have a romance, though it’s very small. As many, many other sim gamers have found, the game doesn’t seem to have many cases of jealousy. Phillip, her husband, is one of Gerald’s good friends and since this incident, he’s never come after Gerald. Haha!
The next morning, Lollie had to put out a fire that Gerald started. Yes, that’s him….without his hat, he looks weird.
They continue on their quest to see the neighborhood. At The Apartment lot, Graciella didn’t look kindly on new women in her territory. Lollie’s in a different outfit. Hehe..
At the park, Lollie explored on her own while I was busy taking pictures. I found her sad for some unknown reason.
I took some pictures of Rie, Mahiya and April while they were having a decent conversation. (I was toying with an idea which didn’t pan out.) Then, the following ensued.
Perhaps April mumbled something about Rie’s pursuits in men? Or maybe Rie just went a bit crazy? Maybe April accused Rie’s mom of being a llama? Whatever the reason, it was hilarious to watch!
Gerald and Lollie went to the museum and Lillian showed up again this time with Shante Milowski. However, they were running away…….from Grim Reaper. Poor thing, he never has any friends.
Lastly, I was taking shots of Gerald for my new signature on the forums. I searched through the different houses and had found the perfect look I needed. I chose The Serendra Residence by SuperPogimon, which happened to be where I put the Bachelorette Show. I had no control over anyone since I was just visiting. I just had Gerald hide in the bathroom so I could take shots. Thankfully, no one needed to use the restroom.
At one point, I got a notification stating there was a fire on the lot. I quickly scrolled out a little and saw nothing close to Gerald. Assuming those in the house (SEVEN other sims) would take care of the situation, I ignored it and continued. I hadn’t planned on saving anyway. After a few more shots, I noticed an orang’ish glare on the windows. I scrolled back again, only to discover a Tiki bar nearby that had a fire-breathing tiki on it. I continued on. Gerald had been tense, but got Very Tense due to the lingering fire. I found shots even better because of his face.
Finally, I finished. I zoomed out to find the fire near the grill area. Someone was on fire and no one was around to help them. Then, I realized….
CRAP!!! Someone was dying??! Who!!??
So, I hovered over them as I didn’t recognize the blackened sim.
By this time, I could do nothing. I just watched in horror (and delight). A short time later, Luke Brown (created by sillyangel0906) died at the scene due to fire inhalation and 3rd degree burns. Grim was late to the party. He must have still been at the museum.
I thought I wouldn’t save the file after that because I was just there to take pictures. However, I changed my mind. Later, when I was taking household pics, I made sure he sat down and talked to Cassie Bronson, the bachlorette. Here’s my tribute to poor Luke. We’ll never know if he was the one for Cassie or not.
When I arrived at the Green Tea house to take pics of Candace Monette and Shante Milowski, I found them both standing at the front like everyone else (autonomy off). I started getting them ready when suddenly, Shante waved good-bye and disappeared. (Not to interrupt the drama or anything. 3 months after I posted this, another fellow simmer told me that this is a sim used in some videos created by LifeSimmer. Before my eyes, Candace was made. Look here. Between minutes 3 & 5. Absolutely amazing! She continued making multiple videos of Candace as she played Sims 4 when it first came out. You should go check it out, if you haven’t already.)
I thought she had just been on another lot (sometimes in the save, if I leave someone on another lot, they stay there). Shante didn’t have a lightning bolt, which would have shown she was elsewhere. So, I figured I’d take Candace to another lot, then maybe it would reload where Shante was.
First, though, she had to put out the fire on the grill. Thankfully, she didn’t die.
At the museum, she found Lollie (the doppelganger version wearing a different outfit).
Candace: Have you seen my roommate Shante? She has red hair and is wearing a brown cap, blue jean skirt and striped shirt with a jacket.
Lollie: No, I’m sorry.
A few minutes later Lollie appears with a few others (unknown town sims that I dislike because they aren’t ones I put in the game).
Lollie: Ooh, I just heard she was at the Ross house. They live in Oasis Springs just a few houses down from the Glaspalast. (Technically, I remember seeing this right before I went into their house that she was there.)
Candace: Thanks so much! Wait, did I just see the Reaper?
Yes, different time at the museum and he arrived again. I wonder if he was waiting for someone to die. Oh, wait, never mind…
I guess even the Reaper needs to enjoy art. 😉
So, at this point, I still couldn’t figure out where she’d gone, so I figured it was a glitch. However, I decided to make a little mystery from it, so I continued on.
With the new clue, Candace manages to find the Ross house. I made her take Lollie with her (for the fun of it).
Nova Ross, Caitlynn’s husband, had no idea where she was at either. No help. Of course, Lollie walked around like she owned the place.
Later, I found her on the Ross’ computer. Big surprise, she was trolling the forums. 😉
Candace decides to text Shante again, but no response.
Then, since no one was around, she talked out the clues with the fish taco in front of her. I think those are apples on the plate. I’ve never eaten fish tacos, so maybe this is normal.
Finally, I send her back home thinking it’d reset Shante. She appeared…
….but only for a moment. Candace, look behind you, quick! Ooop, too late. Shante’s gone again.
At this point, I just edited the household, took Shante out and then put her back in. Thankfully, she wasn’t my main person and didn’t have too many relationships yet. That would have been really annoying.
Candace, I have a surprise for you!
Candace: Where have you been? I’ve been all over town looking for you!
Shante: Really? You barely know me. Well, anyway, I was lost. It was a strange house. I arrived in a limo, or at least that is what they called it. I was handcuffed, but when I stepped out of the car, they disappeared. I don’t remember someone putting the handcuffs on me or getting into the limo at all. Once out of the car, I saw 7-8 people standing about with suits and jackets with llama emblems on them. They gathered around me and started clapping and cheering!
Candace: Hmmm….
Shante: I promise, it’s true! Then, suddenly, I had the urge to spin and change my clothes. When I looked down, I was in the same llama outfits that the rest of them were in. Was this some kind of weird cult or something? I asked myself. So, I looked around the old building and eventually found that it was a secret society for students. No one looked familiar and in fact, the sims looked….blurry and drab. Anyway, it almost felt like a nightmare. I’m glad I woke up.
Candace: I believe you, I think. Just glad you are finally back. Now, I can get back to working on my cooking skill again.
They hug each other (as their relationship is up enough) and life moves forward in their comfortable sim world.
